A Bloemfontein teenager who has been dubbed the Karate Kid after he fought off eight armed men on his family’s smallholding had come to his father’s rescue before.

Volksblad reported that Mark Reynolds, 15, three years ago knocked over a man with his quad bike after the man tried to stab his father with a knife.

Mark has a brown belt in karate.
